Mihailo of Zeta (1051-1081) received in 1077 the flag from Pope Gregory VII as the royal insignia and thereafter Duklja (Zeta) is referred to as a kingdom. In historical sources Mihailo is also known as "king of Slavs" and "ruler of Tribals and Serbs".
